WHAT TVMA CAN DO FOR YOU:

Protect the Profession
TVMA protects the profession though constant legislative and regulatory tracking, monitoring and taking action to prevent the government from unduly interfering with your practice. TVMA is your voice in state government, ensuring that veterinary medicine’s interests are fully represented.

In fact, TVMA drives business directly to your clinic through the "Find a Veterinarian" link on the Web site. The Web site also offers advice specifically for pet owners through articles and the podcast series TexVetPets. TVMA is constantly developing new public awareness campaigns such as the Slim Pet Challenge and Woofstock and will conitnue to grow this aspect of the Association.

Professional Career Advancement
TVMA can help you advance your career and your practice through its continuing education offerings and unique programs, including the Texas Academy of Veterinary Practice. We have also begun offering a variety of "boutique" educational experiences throughout the year. Your support staff can reach a higher level of expertise and credentials through the Certified Veterinary Assistant, Registered Veterinary Technician or Certified Veterinary Business Manager programs.

Six times a year, TVMA publishes the Texas Veterinarian magazine and the electronic newsletter eFYI to offer in-depth news, features and information to help your practice.
