SEMINAR PRESENTERS
Rick Wall, DVM, DABVP
A 1979 graduate of Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Wall is the owner of Animal Clinics of The Woodlands and the Center for Veterinary Pain Management and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Wall is certified in canine rehabilitation and operates the only veterinarian owned and operated pain management and physical rehabilitation practice in Texas. He is one of a handful of veterinarians who have completed certification requirements for Diplomate status with the American Academy of Pain Management. Currently he is the only veterinarian in the country with a certification in myofascial trigger point therapy through the Janet Travell, MD Seminar Series on myofascial pain. While this training is for myofascial pain in people, Dr. Wall has applied this knowledge to pain management in dogs and cats.
Russell New, DVM
Dr. Russell (Rusty) A. New received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1997 from Louisiana State University. Following graduation he did primarily small animal medicine for nine years in Texarkana, Texas. In 2006, Dr. New moved his family to the Dallas area and is currently practicing at the Terrell Veterinary Center. He has spent the past several years studing pain management, compiling a Clinical Reference Guide for veterinary practitioners. Dr. New is also involved with a local large exotic cat rescue group that houses lions, tigers, cougars, and wolves. This is his next great veterinary adventure in learning.
Gary Old , DVM
Gary graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. He is currently the owner of Richmond Road Animal Hospital in Texarkana, TX. His hospital is a general clinic, as well as a referral practice, with an emphasis on specialized procedures such as TPLO, TTA, Neurosurgery, bone plating, endoscopy and arthroscopy.
