Anesthesia & Analgesia • College of Veterinary Medicine, Texas A&M University • College Station

The Office of Continuing Education at the College of Veterinary Medicine/Texas A&M University presents the annual 'Anesthesia & Anagesia' Conference. This CE course is for practitioners as well as technicians and will cover a variety of important topics on small animal anesthesia and analgesia. We offer a dual session track on Saturday. We will have simultaneous sessions to choose from; one track for veterinarians and the other track specifically created for veterinary technicians looking to improve their knowledge and skills in anesthesia and analgesia. Lectures will focus on current and practical information, newer anesthetic drugs and techniques, and options for providing both acute and chronic pain management.  Laboratories will be center on local and regional anesthesia, for both veterinarians and veterinary technicians. A special lab with limited attendance, on Ultrasound Guided blocks for the rear leg will be offered for the DVM participants, this lab will offer practical techniques that can be learned quickly and be apply in common procedures involving the rear limbs.
