Cranial/Cervical (Part 2) Module 3 • Parker University Campus • Dallas, TX
Animal chiropractic offers a drug-free approach to pet health care. This 6 module program is held on the Parker University Campus in Dallas, Texas (with the exception of the off-site Labs each Sunday). The animal chiropractic program imparts practical, relevant clinical education and training for both chiropractors and veterinarians and offers a unique opportunity to enhance their practices by providing an additional treatment option.  Each module concludes with an invaluable hands-on live animal field lab. TAHC Certified CWD Postmortem Sample Collection Class • Huntsville Livestock Svcs. • Huntsville, TX
The Texas Animal Health Commission will office their Certified CWD Postmortem Sample Collection Class. This class will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17 at Huntsville Livestock Services, 1846 IH-45, Huntsville, TX 77340. You must register in advance. May 18-19
Bovine Ultrasound Short Course • Fairfield, TX
A bovine ultrasound short course will be held on May 18-19, 2017 in Fairfield, TX. The course, hosted by Dr. Craig DeMuth, will offer 9 CE hours and feature both a lecture and wet lab. The lecture on Thursday afternoon will cover all the basics; early open/pregnancy diagnosis, fetal aging, fetal death, diagnosis of multiples, scanning ovaries and fetal sexing. The wet lab Friday morning provides opportunities to hone in on skills discussed on Thursday, including fetal sexing and extension arm ultrasound technique. The CE for this course is approved by the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners. TAMU-CVM Dentistry Course • Veterinary & Biomedical Education Complex • College Station, TX
The TAMU-CVM Dentistry Conference is going to be presented by board-certified veterinary dentist, Dr. Bert Dodd. The first day will consist of sessions beginning with intraoral radiology including the different types of sensors, intraoral positioning and interpretation of images. The next sessions will be on intraoral nerve blocks and non-invasive repair of jaw fractures. The day will end with an interactive session on various dental cases. The second day is a 4-hour hands-on laboratory session to allow participants to practice taking intraoral films and repairing mandibular fractures using interdental wires and acrylic. TAMU-CVM Food Animal Seminar • Veterinary & Biomedical Education Complex, College Station, TX
The TAMU-CVM Food Animal Seminar will highlight diseases of two of the most economically important body systems of ruminants: the respiratory system and the reproductive system. Our expert panel of speakers will bring the knowledge they have gained from personal experience and their own clinical trials on the topics of immune response to BRD vaccines, diagnostic tools for identifying BRD pathogens and management techniques to reduce BRD. Then we will hear the latest on advanced reproductive techniques and management schemes for optimal reproductive efficiency in beef cows. This year we will also offer a wet lab on the breeding soundness exam of the buck and ram. In this laboratory, the participant will learn about the indications, limitations, and procedure of breeding soundness examination in either a ram or buck. The attendee will gain knowledge how to perform a complete genital examination, semen collection, and evaluation. Early Bird Registration begins Wednesday, March 15, 2017.
