Backyard Poultry Health and Management

The presentation will include management of backyard poultry, biosecurity, clinical evaluation, and the most common diseases encountered in backyard poultry. The Learning Objectives are:
1) Ability to identify and evaluate common issues with housing, feeding, reproduction, hatching, and management of small flocks of poultry.
2) Knowledge of notifiable diseases and non-notifiable diseases of poultry commonly observed in backyard poultry.
3) Ability to properly treat / prevent common diseases including the ability to identify drugs that can and cannot be used.
