Suzanne Burnham, DVM, Glennon Mays, DVM and Jason Tayce, DVM
(College of Veterinary Medicine, TAMU)
The focus of this workshop is to help prepare veterinarians, technicians, and staff to communicate with a diverse clientele in a clinical setting. We will discuss the various interpretation options available to the general practitioner, introduce common medical vocabulary (such as animals, body parts, and veterinary equipment), and practice phrases that can be immediately implemented into any clinical environment. The workshop will be a combination of large group and small group learning for all levels of Spanish knowledge. This workshop is included in the regular conference registration fee.
